About Us
Our Name
The inspiration for the Blackdot name was derived from the small black mark that denotes the centre of the crossbar on a set of rugby goalposts. The black dot is the reference point goal kickers use to align themselves.
This black dot symbolises our mandate - to convert opportunity.
One particular sporting event cemented our commitment to the name Blackdot. August 2000, Australia versus New Zealand in Wellington - at the final whistle, John Eales executed the perfect conversion to retain the Bledisloe Cup and secure the Tri-Nations Trophy for Australia for the first time. To convert successfully - under immense pressure, when the outcome is entirely dependent on how well you execute and the silverware is there for the taking - is an immense achievement.
Analogous opportunities present themselves everyday to men and women in corporate life. They too must execute effectively to get the results they want. Blackdot helps these organisations, teams and individuals maximise the probability of success.
Our people
We pride ourselves on the quality of the people who work for Blackdot and serve our clients. On every engagement we bring deep functional expertise, industry experience and a passion to deliver the best outcome for our clients.
