Content Manager

The Role:

We’re seeking a full-time, creative and self-directed Content Manager to join our established Sydney-based team. In this unique role, you will help build and scale Blackdot’s Marketing initiatives globally, whilst also working with tier-one clients on consulting projects – meaning no two days will ever be the same!

From an internal perspective – you will be responsible for developing high-impact thought leadership and brand building content, that cuts through the digital noise. As for the consulting aspect of the role, you will apply your expertise to cross-industry organisations on projects spanning content strategy, customer journey design and change management / communications.

The Ideal Candidate:

We’re looking for a talented wordsmith with a strong creative flair, who is eager to drive customer and commercial outcomes. To be successful, you will have a solid understanding of B2B content Marketing, how content supports the customer journey, and have a proven track record of converting complex frameworks into simple yet engaging assets.

Given the hybrid nature of this role, you will also have the ability to balance multiple projects and appreciate a fast-paced environment – where the opportunity to learn is limitless. Naturally, you enjoy being hands-on and tactical, as well as strategic.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in the development of a comprehensive content and campaign strategy, that drives engagement with senior decision makers in large enterprises
  • Manage the content lifecycle from creation, editing and approvals, through to measurement and optimisation of assets across multiple formats (incl. whitepapers, blogs, infographics and videos)
  • Provide ongoing recommendations for content marketing pilots that leverage new formats and channels
  • Develop cut-through messaging across channels incl. website, EDM, social and sponsored advertising
  • Conduct workshops with senior stakeholders to ideate and produce new thought leadership material
  • Identify and manage brand building initiatives such as industry awards, PR, guest blogging and speaking opportunities
  • Contribute to consulting projects as an SME; leading workstreams on content and campaign strategy, and change communications

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a marketing, content or communications role
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, media, technology, business, or other associated disciplines.
  • Proven experience writing for a senior business audience
  • The ability to quickly grasp new topics and concepts
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO
  • The ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
  • PR experience and / or established journalists’ network would be highly regarded
  • Experience across Microsoft Office suite – particularly powerpoint
  • Ability to run workshops with engaging presentation skills
