About the role:

Due to continued growth Blackdot have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven and high achieving individual to join the business as Senior Manager (i.e. Project Lead). The successful candidate will play a key role in continuing to develop relationships with our prestigious client base in Australia and contribute to the build out of our consulting assets and capability globally.

About you:

This role is targeted at individuals who possess excellent consulting credentials and who are keen to utilise these strong skills and experience within an entrepreneurial and agile company. It would suit a dynamic individual with solid consulting toolkit and client-facing skills who can demonstrate initiative and play a significant part in the design and delivery of client projects. The Senior Manager is at the centre of the customer engagement team and provides it with leadership.

Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Maintain contact and communication with all project team members and other participants to ensure conformance with requirements of each project(s) and client expectations
  • Keeping the team fully updated on all feedback coming from the client and ensuring that they adhere to client expectations
  • Proactively introducing new strategies that fits the requirements of the client
  • Manage day-to-day project operations, serving as the functional expert on the project team
  • Provide quality oversight on deliverables prepared by the project team before submitting to client
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client and team contact for the project
  • Identifying, developing and extending client relationships with the intent of building long lasting trusted advisor relationships with clients
  • Assign team members to specific tasks within the project and deploy resources
  • Hold regular team meetings to review current work
  • Supporting the development of opinion pieces on business challenges, including publication and presentation of thought leadership

Skills and Experience:
  • The successful candidate will possess at least 5 years’+ relevant commercial experience with some prior experience within a management consultancy firm ideally as a senior consultant within sales and marketing transformation (incl. processes, technologies and capability) and/or consulting domain experience in Banking & Finance, Health Science (Pharma) or TMT
  • Ability to think conceptually and strategically in design thinking
  • Ability to learn complex businesses very quickly, define problems accurately while paying attention to detail in the solution
  • Demonstrated leadership within or outside a work setting. You should be someone who frequently takes initiative and is eager to break new ground
  • Ability to manage and multi-task under tight deadlines
  • Strategic management perspective, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills, ability to understand sophisticated data based analysis
  • Ability to grow client accounts, and capitalise on new opportunities
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience
  • Strong project management disciplines
