Marty Nicholas

Managing Director

As founder and Managing Director of Blackdot, Marty Nicholas is dedicated to helping enterprise-level clients accelerate marketing and sales transformation to achieve more predictable and sustainable growth. Since 2001 he has been pivotal in growing Blackdot’s client base across a variety of industries and the globe, having led over 400 consulting projects, 10,000 sales benchmarks and 80 marketing and sales transformation projects for companies including Commonwealth Bank of Australia, TNT, AstraZeneca and Optus. Possessing an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of New South Wales, Marty has over 20 years management consulting experience and a career representing and coaching rowing for both New South Wales and Australia. Outside of work he enjoys marathon running, ocean swimming, boating and golf; and is a patriotic fan of the Waratahs, Wallabies and any Australian competing at the Masters. Most of all, he enjoys adventurous holidays and downtime with his wife Nicky and boys Charlie, Oliver and Will.

Mark Taylor

Executive Director, EMEA

With over 20 years management consulting experience, Mark has led multiple large-scale sales transformation projects spanning strategy, operating model redesign, process re-engineering and program management, and sales force effectiveness. He possesses deep industry expertise across Financial Services, Pharma, IT and Consumer, having worked with clients across Europe, Asia Pac and the Middle East, including Westpac, Lion, AstraZeneca, Wesfarmers and Optus. Mark has a First Class Masters of Engineering from the University of Manchester and ICAM (France); and a post graduate diploma from Cambridge University. When he is not running around with his two young kids, Mark loves to get into the water and bust some waves, alongside annoying Velcro clad cyclist on his electric assisted bicycle. Being married to a yoga teacher, connecting with the spiritual side of life is also an everyday passion for him.

Peter Callaway

Executive Director, Strategy and Operations

Peter has more than 25 years business experience in consulting and Executive roles.He worked as a management consultant at Accenture for 19 years where he specialised in Financial Services. He had business development responsibilities across South East Asia and led business transformation engagements in the region and in the UK. He has Engineering and Science (Computer and Accounting) degrees from Sydney University. Peter has been an adviser to the Blackdog Institute, sitting on various management committees and is an active member of the local community. He loves to get outdoors whether it is playing tennis, sailing, running or cycling off road. He is married with 2 children and transports to, and watches, a lot of sport on weekends.

Chris Horn

Executive Director, Products and Marketing

Chris leads Blackdot’s product and marketing groups with the goal of continually evolving our customer offerings, as well as growing our brand presence and client base globally. He leads a dynamic team of marketers at Blackdot who are passionate about pushing the envelope of best practices in demand creation. Chris has 12 years of experience leading product, marketing and sales teams across Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and the Middle East and holds a Bachelors degree in Business and Marketing from Macquarie University. He is an avid road cyclist and mountain biker, with a unique talent for regularly falling off bikes. He also enjoys travelling with his wife Lisa and all things outdoors.

Nicson White

Executive Director, Commercial

Combining a passion for driving marketing and sales performance with Blackdot's unique diagnostic and transformation capability, Nicson is dedicated to helping our clients achieve enduring growth. With 13 years’ commercial practice experience, he is responsible for the management of Blackdot’s global commercial team, as well as the growth and retention of key health science accounts across Asia Pacific. A seasoned entrepreneur, Nicson has founded several start-ups across the hospitality, environmental science & franchise sectors. He has hired, trained and coached more than 50 salespeople and 350 licensees in his own companies. He has also accrued over 1,500 hours experience in performance coaching and strategic advisory. Nicson was Australia’s youngest ever winner of the My Business Magazine business of the year award and has appeared on the BRW Fast Starters List. He holds a graduate diploma in management and is working towards an MBA at the Australian Institute of Business.

Abhik Sengupta

Executive Director, Client Solutions

Leading Blackdot’s client delivery team across Asia Pacific, Abhik is passionate about helping enterprise-level organisations drive growth through marketing and sales transformation. He possesses over 20 years’ corporate and consulting experience, having served in a variety of senior strategy and operational roles. Abhik’s career has seen him serve as Senior Associate at Booz & Company, Associate Director at Macquarie Bank, Strategy Principal at NAB and most recently as Head of Channel and Bank Strategy at AMP. He holds a BA Engineering (Hons) and B.Sc  from the University of Melbourne and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
